2013 has started with a bang and we already find ourselves in March. In the midst of preparing our long overdue release of version 0.4 of the LSA_Toolkit we have finally found a small scrap of time to rearrange our website and open up an area for our blog. The title of the blog “The Semantic Bear” reflects not only our company’s mascot, but the nature of the problems we aim to help you with. Many of the problems related to semantic analysis and natural language processing of text and conceptual information can be a bear to tackle. With the right tools and the proper approach though, any job becomes manageable.
Hopefully, we will find that we have chosen the proper tools as we work on continuing to update our website and try to build a helpful resource for all things LSA related. Our new support portal is currently being tested and should be available for you in the next few weeks, and we plan to add a number of information resources and tutorials to help you make use of LSA technology in your applications and to understand what it is telling you. This blog will also mainly be helpful tidbits and occasional commentary concerning various LSA, information analysis, and machine learning subjects as they come up in our research or roll out of our workshop. I might tell some stories along the way about the joys of being a small researchy technology company, running a business while finishing your Ph.D., or life in general.
Thanks for following along.
